We try to answer the most frequently asked questions about Taco Fest below, but please reach out to us if you have others!

  • Royal Oak Taco Fest will take place in downtown Royal Oak from July 4 - July 7, 2024. Hours for the festival are Thursday 11am-1pm, Friday 11am-11pm, Saturday 11am-11pm, and Sunday 11am-9pm

  • The festival is located in Royal Oak on the East side of Main Street between 11 Mile and 4th Street. It includes Centennial Commons Park, 3rd Street from Main to Knowles Street, Williams Street from 3rd to 4th Street, Troy Street from 11 Mile to 3rd Street and portions of the Royal Oak City Complex parking lots.   • You will be able to buy tickets in advance or day off the event. Tickets will be on sale soon!

  • Children under 3 are free at all times.

  • Yes, all individuals age 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian after 7:00p.m.

  • Admission grants you access to the festival along with the live entertainment, Lucha Libre wrestling, and Taco Eating, Hot Sauce & Dog Pageant. FREE activities also include Kids Zone Activities.

    Food and beverage is not included with admission, all vendors will be accepting cash, credit or debit.

  • Food will vary between vendor but tacos will start around $3 each. All vendors will accept cash, credit, and debit. Tequila tasting prices for our Tequila! Tequila! Cantina and beverage prices for our Daily’s Margarita Fro-zone are available on our website, but we will also have beer, wine, and other spirits and cocktails available at our other festival bars as well.

  • No outside food or beverages are allowed. Baby formula, baby bottles, or young child's sippy cup are allowed.

  • Yes, but please note that all bags and backpacks are subject to search at the gate. You may not bring in any coolers, food, beverages, bikes, skateboards, pets or unlawful weapons.

  • Yes, dogs will be permitted at Taco Fest this year! Please clean up after your pet. If you’d like to enter your pet in the costume contest Saturday and Sunday please click here

    Please note dogs and cats are fine, but no exotic animals. Thank you!

  • Downtown Royal Oak has lots of parking options in structures, surface lots and parking meters. Parking in the 11 Mile & Center Street Structures and the Farmer’s Market City Hall Lot will be $10. For more details, please review our parking tab or view a full list of locations here.
